Upon your arrival at Minangkabau International Airport, you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel in Kerinci (approx. 7-8 hours drive). Before embarking on the long scenic route to Kerinci, our driver will invite you to enjoy authentic Minang cuisine in the city of Padang.
After dinner, you will meet with our lead guide and crew for a comprehensive briefing to cover trip details, logistics, and all important preparations.
After breakfast, we head to the Trailhead (1,800m) via local transport. The climb to our campsite begins here, taking you deep through the dense tropical rainforest.
Keep your eyes peeled for rare wildlife; if you are lucky, you might spot mammals like the Siamang Gibbon or the endemic Surili Sumatra. We will have lunch at Shelter 1 (2,550m), then proceed through the mystical sub-montane forest to Shelter 2 (3,100m), and finally arrive at our campsite, Shelter 3 (3,349m).
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed with hot tea and a stunning sunset view above the clouds. A fully cooked, warm dinner will be served by our crew to keep your energy high for the summit push.
Following a hot tea or coffee, we start our final steep climb well before sunrise. As dawn breaks, the spectacular landscape of Kerinci slowly comes into sight. Finally, we stand on the highest volcano in Southeast Asia: Mount Kerinci (3,805 MASL).
Take in the incredible panoramic views over West Sumatra and Jambi, surrounded by volcanic peaks, mountain ranges, and lakes. The active, 300-meter-deep crater of Kerinci lies magnificently right in front of us.
After soaking in the summit, we head back to the campsite for a well-deserved brunch before descending to the trailhead and returning to your hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel drop off at Padang or Airport in the morning and arrive at Minang Kabau International Airport at 05.00 Pm. The trip ends at the airport.

The best arrival time at Minang Kabau International Airport is at 8 am, remember that heading to Kerinci is at least 7-8 hours of overland driving so you will arrive in Kerinci in the afternoon. however, if it is not possible, you can take the afternoon because we have provided private transportation, making it more flexible.
We will cover all transport costs detailed within a trip program as mentioned on our provided itinerary. This will exclude international flights to and from the destination countries. It is your responsibility to ensure these align with the start and finish of the trip.

All essential equipment is included, e.g. quality tents with a capacity of 4 adults but for your comfort, we maximize 3 people a tent, mattress, inflatable mattress/Sleeping Pad, etc. You are responsible for your gear and clothing. A full list of requirements and advice (if required) will be provided at the time of booking.
We provide 2 nights accommodation 1 night before the hike and 1 night after the hike. Of course, we choose the best accommodation with specifications that have a hot shower, clean, good breakfast, close to Mount Kerinci of course has a beautiful view, etc.
This trip includes a professional and licensed mountain guide with a ratio of 1 Guide 5 participants and also porters as assistant guides with a ratio of 1 porter 3 participants to carry group equipment, Set up the tent, cooking, etc.
Jetz will overall lead many of our trips, but to have him as your guide you will need to enquire with our team about his availability.

While technical mountaineering gear is not required, Mount Kerinci is a continuous vertical ascent on active volcanic terrain. To ensure a safe and enjoyable journey, we recommend that hikers have prior multi-day trekking experience or a solid level of physical fitness built through endurance training.

To keep transactions simple and secure, all payments are processed in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) directly to the official company account under Kerinci Paradise, in accordance with the issued invoice.
Deposit: Operational preparations for the trip will begin immediately once deposit confirmation is received.
Balance Settlement: To avoid unnecessary international transfer fees, the remaining balance can be settled in cash upon arrival in Kerinci, or at the latest before the climb begins.
To guarantee our commitment to each trip, the deposit is non-refundable as it is immediately allocated towards securing permits, arranging accommodation and supporting crew and other.

This itinerary and the National Park entrance fee do not include travel insurance to cover medical treatment or emergency evacuation.
All participants are strongly advised to have personal travel insurance before departure. Make sure that your chosen policy covers mountain trekking at altitudes above 3,000 metres, as well as medical treatment and emergency evacuation.
